About SPCNI

The Society for Pacific Coast Native Iris is an independent affiliate of the American Iris Society dedicated to cultivating interest in the growing and development of Pacific Coast Iris — often referred to as Pacificas, PCI, PCN, or PCH (Pacific Coast Hybrids) in the horticultural trade.

SPCNI encourages the development and maintenance of display gardens for Pacific Coast Iris and supports research of a scientific and horticultural nature for Pacifica Iris.

The SPCNI Scholarship Fund was established in 2005 to support research on topics relevant to PCI. Despite its name, research grants are available for both students and professors working with Pacifica Iris.
